DC Racial Equity Coalition

GW Roosevelt is a proud and active member of  in The DC Initiative on Racial Equity and Local Government, a coalition of DC-based community advocacy organizations fighting to ensure racial equality for all DC residents. The DC Initiative is supporting a robust version of the Racial Equity Achieves Results or REACH Act (previously called the REAR Act). This bill implements racial equity training for all government employees, and requires the Mayor and her agencies, departments, and programs to evaluate their success through a racial equity lens. GW Roosevelt has testified in support of the Act on numerous occasions and regularly engages in the coalitions meetings.
